YEOVIL LITERARY FESTIVAL EVENT
In 1963, Charlotte Bingham wrote her first book, A Coronet Among the Weeds, a memoir of her life as a debutante, at the age of 19. She went on to write a further memoir, 33 international best-selling novels and wrote for theatre, film and TV (including Upstairs, Downstairs and Nanny) .
Her latest book, MI5 and Me, is a beguiling comic memoir about a young woman who discovers her father is a spy (and was the model for John le Carre's George Smiley) and goes on to work as a secretary for the MI5 in 1950's Britain.
Followed by a book signing.
A £1 ticket levy is included in all stated prices.
