James Purefoy and Friends: Diaries of Note

What is more personal, more intimate, than the diary? In this special event James Purefoy will be joined by fellow actors to read diary extracts from Diaries of Note, compiled by Shaun Usher - bestselling author of Letters of Note. The book collects 366 of the most noteworthy diary entries ever written, one for each day of the leap year, each authored by a different individual.

This special event promises to be a moving, funny and inspirational journey. All proceeds from the event are to support the development of The Octagon Theatre.

James will be joined by: 

Harry Hadden-Paton

Harry Hadden-Paton trained at LAMDA. His work in theatre includes; Here We Are and She Stoops to Conquer at The National Theatre; My Fair Lady (Theatre World Award, and Grammy and Tony nominations) and Flying Over Sunset at the Lincoln Center Theater; The King's Speech at The Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and many more.

TV includes The Westies, Maya, Industry, The Blacklist, Versailles, The Crown (seasons one and two, Wallander, Downton Abbey, Grantchester, Silk and Richard I!. Film includes The Housekeeper, The Man Who Stole Portugal, The Ringo Starr Biopic, Twisters, Downton Abbey: A New Era, Downton Abbey, The Little Stranger, About Time, The Deep Blue Sea and La Vie en Rose.

Rebecca Night

Theatre work includes Springwood and Night Mother (Hampstead Theatre) opposite Stockard Channing; The Importance of Being Earnest (with Dame Angela Lansbury; Benefit Gala, Roundabout Theatre, NYC); The King’s Speech (Chicago Shakespeare Theater); Racing Demon (Theatre Royal, Bath); Prism (Hampstead Theatre) plus many more. 

Film work includes Dartmoor Killing; Suspension of Disbelief and Leopard.

Television work includes the upcoming US series High Value Target; The Sandman; Maigret; the eponymous Fanny Hill (Andrew Davies, BBC), Agatha Raisin; Starlings; This September; Law and Order UK – Shaken.

Rebecca’s writing work includes the 5* ANNE BOLEYN The Musical. She is a producer for Symphony Films - work includes award-winning short films LEGACY, THE TWO WEEK WAIT with features in development inc. BABY, MINE.

Richard Lintern

Richard is probably best known for seven seasons of forensic work on the BBC’s Silent Witness. He is from Hatch Beauchamp in Somerset and delighted to be fundraising for a much needed local theatre.
