Vaseem Khan: Agatha Christie - Crime and Empire
In this presentation crime fiction author, and festival favourite, Vaseem Khan is back and explores Agatha Christie’s life and writing, with an emphasis on how her work overlaps with the British empire and its turbulent end. Vaseem Khan’s Malabar House novels, set in 1950s India, employ both the Golden Age tropes made famous by Christie and historical events marking the end of the British time in India.
A firm favourite with his Inspector Chopra novels, he'll also be talking about his latest in the Malabar House novels, City of Destruction.
