Drawn from a journal author Giles Terera kept throughout his year-plus-long process of preparation, rehearsal and performance, the book offers an honest, intimate and thrilling look at everything involved in opening a once-in-a-generation theatre production, as well as a unique exploration of now-iconic songs and moments from the world-famous musical, as seen from the inside.
